The first series of 2" (100%) tall blind boxed Bearbricks by Medicom were released in August 2001. These were the forefathers of all other blind boxed mini figures that followed including Qee and Dunny.

The special artist figures in this series were by Hiroto Komoto and Yuusaku Hanakuma.
