Created in 1994, they started to release Japanese language translations of some of North America's most famous alternative comics in 2001. Their catalogue includes graphic novels by authors such as [[Peter Bagge]], [[Chris Ware]], [[Jim Woodring]], [[Daniel Clowes]], [[Adrian Tomine]], [[Archer Prewitt]], [[Dame Darcy]] and [[Julie Doucet]]. Soon after, they started to release toys based on these same comics, their most famous being [[Little Enid]], based on Daniel Clowes' Ghost World graphic novel.
