Biography[edit]
On what was most likely a hot day in August, 1981, Keeley Carrigan was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He spent his early years at a private montessori school where art was encouraged, and being a good artist was part of what made you "cool". Even after leaving that school for public school Keeley spent all his time, even in class, drawing. His future career in art was almost interrupted in high school when he decided that the best way to make a living was to become an engineer. Luckily, his mom stepped in and encouraged him to pursue a career in something he loved.
After high school, Keeley completed the graphic design program at Central Piedmont Community College and began trying to figure out where his place was in the art world. A couple years later, some small gallery shows, a few comic conventions, and a semester at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte has brought him to where he is today. Closer than he was before, but still so far to go.
