Biography[edit]
15+ years of design and innovation success as a leading creative force in the toy and product realms. From technical product creation to lifestyle design, Galen McKamy has been an in-house leader at brands like Fisher Price/ Mattel, and Hasbro as well as consulting for companies such as Nike, Marvel, Pixar, Geffin Records, X-Games, ESPN, Disney, and Dreamworks. In addition to product creation, he has worked hand in hand with Universal pictures and Pixar studios on the content and creation of design and story for both film and product for properties such as Thor, Toy Story and Spiderman 2. Galen has also built entertainment properties from the ground up such as Hasbro's Chuck and friends, which has been internationally syndicated. Leading the design on product lines such as Star Wars Jr. Vehicles, Transformers, Marvel, Spider-Man, Hasbro Pre School gaming and more. He is an industry leading toy designer with numerous awards such as two International Toy of the Year awards, 3 National Toy of The Year Awards, two International Parents Choice Awards as well as capturing awards in the designer toy community with Kidrobot.
Additionally, Galen is an avid urban vinyl toy aficionado, a published illustrator/ artist, working with music industry leaders to create album and poster art, as well as a practicing artist who's works have been shown both nationally and internationally over the course of 20 years.
