Biography[edit]
A supporting family can be a key element to future success. Add an inspirational art professor father to the mix and you’ve got a recipe for art magnificence.
Will Sweeney has just that. Graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1998, he began working as a freelance illustrator for cutting edge magazines like Dazed & Confused and The Face. A year later and he was producing work for both Silas and Maria streetwear brands, illustrating and designing catalogues, t-shirts and interior art for their Japan stores.
Sweeney is the author and illustrator of such bizarre characters as Kleptikos & Periwinkle, a.k.a. The Kebab Twins from his bizarre comic, the Tales From Green Fuzz. His designer toy versions of these two bullies were released by Amos toys, owned and run by Silas founder, Russell Waterman.
And as if that wasn’t enough, together with his friend Susumu Mukai, Sweeney also plays lead guitar in the band Zongamin.
