Biography
Through multi-disciplinary practices my work hinges upon the queering of materials, intimate spaces, masculinity and the creative process.
The combining of unexpected materials into one painting, object or performance is a central aspect to all of the work. More specifically, the act of peeling materials apart (latex rubber, peeled paint skins, paper, etc..) is a process that has come to play a very significant role in my work. These peels, or the recorded remnants of these peels, illuminate a new type of surface, an "in-between" space full of sensual ambiguity, poetry and possibility.
