Biography

Clinton Reno blurs the line between nicest guy in the world and hot-tempered nut job. The dichotomy in his personality is what likely conjures art that is both light-hearted and inspiring. His work is packed with textures and ornate details. He has a grand ability to amalgamate the historical and the fictional - the technically sound and the completely absurd.

Clinton grew up in the cultural metropolis of Xenia, Ohio, sketching Grizzly Adams and GI Joe characters. His love of drawing led him to the esteemed Columbus College of Art and Design, where he graduated with a BFA in Illustration in 1995.

Reno has built quite a following in Columbus and beyond, hand-pulling limited edition, silk-screened posters for music events, cultural festivals, non-profit organizations and businesses. He has designed and screened posters, CD Artwork and T-Shirts for hundreds of acclaimed rock bands, including Coldplay, My Morning Jacket and Interpol. His critically appreciated work has landed him in a variety of art shows in cities across the map, including Brighton, UK, Atlanta Museum of Design, Portland, San Francisco, Cincinnati and Columbus. His work has also been featured at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH, and Flatstock poster conventions in Seattle, Chicago and Austin.
